As you probably already know, the FCC just made a 3-2 vote to ultimately dispose of Net Neutrality, which has been giving us full Internet Freedom since 2015. While it all seems quite bleak, don't forget, it's not over yet. We still have hope, because it has to go through Congress, and of course, the Supreme Court system. Thanks to a fantastic friend of mine, I have this piece of information that we all hope works out against the FCC's favor:
As of 2:35 p.m.: Rep. Doyle has announced he plans to introduce a resolution of disapproval that would overturn today’s FCC decision, with support from ten other Democratic representatives.
“I’ve tried repeatedly to convince Chairman Pai to abandon his plans to dismantle the Open Internet Order—most recently by organizing a letter from 118 Members of Congress urging him not to take this vote today—and now that the FCC has voted to kill Net Neutrality and give ISPs a green light to control access to the Internet, I will introduce legislation under the Congressional Review Act to overturn today’s order and restore Net Neutrality,” he said in a statement.
The battle hasn't started just yet. Let's make the victory ours before it really begins!
